Just Saying Hey..

I just want to start this thread off by saying how pleased I am that you've found our forum. As the main Graphics Designer/Web Designer for Memory Lane Designs I am here to help answer any questions you may have when it comes to editing photos. This can be a tricky and sometimes frustrating process for those of you that don't have much experience with it. I'm going to start this topic off with some basic suggestions for beginners. First and most importantly... MAKE A COPY OF YOUR PHOTO BEFORE YOU START EDITING IT!! There is nothing worse than a bad edit job and a lost original. When possible, use good equipment to take the photo, and if you're working from a print, scan it in at a minimum of 300 dpi... higher dpi if you have a lot of detailed editing to do. If you will be doing a lot of editing work, then take the time to invest in a good software. I favor Adobe Photoshop personally, but it's cost only makes it a good choice if you'll be doing lots of editing work. There are lots of lower cost and even free photo editing softwares out there that will do a good job. When in doubt, consult a professional.. come in here to the forum and ask questions, and me and the other members of the Design Staff will be happy to help you along. Most importantly, remember that all photos sent to Memory Lane Designs that will be used in your purchases will be touched up and cleaned up for you by myself or another member of our team. This saves you from having to spend the time to do it yourself and ensures that your purchase will be something you can treasure for years to come. If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.. we're here to please. :D
